Criminal justice reform addresses the underlying issues in the American Criminal justice systems. The crime of racial profiling, police brutality, and massive Black and Brown incarceration. The criminal justice system covers all aspects of the criminal justice process, from how law enforcement police our communities, to how prisons hold and lack rehabilitation for the convicted, including the overcriminalization, judicial misconduct and sentencing discrepancies. Prison reform is the commitment to improve prison conditions, improve the effectiveness of a penal system, and to implement alternatives to incarceration. It also focuses on ensuring the reinstatement of those whose lives are impacted by crimes.

Finally, the criminal justice reform efforts have become part of the national conversation. The news has been inundated with breaking stories about governmental Laws to reform policing policies, racial profiling, prosecutorial misconduct, and sentencing discrepancies. Showing exactly how common these occurrences really are, while equally shing a light on real American Advocacy and Activism.

 

Local advocates like myself, to celebrities worldwide, have dedicated our lives to speaking out on these inequities.
 

My family's personal heartbreaking experience catapulted my passion for a voice in active advocacy. I started this Movement to save my son, the underdeveloped  21 year old boy who was sentenced to 25 years of incarceration, more years than a Murderer for a NO INJURY Robbery. Through healthy relationships with policy makers, we are working diligently to get  him and many others like him home to their families!
